The “Toll” sculpture series, which portray life sized reproductions of homeless persons, are intended to act as sort of gatekeepers: deliberate and calculating obstacles. As site-oriented installation pieces, they are situated, for example, in a gallery hallway with appendages extending the across the corridor or positioned along a wall in the open space of the gallery with limbs protruding out into the walking space of the audience.
